Giving is the lifeblood of your organization.  It’s what allows you to make a difference in the world.  It funds your mission.  It keeps the doors open and the lights on.  But there are so many great organizations that either just barely make budget, or are completely underfunded.

Over 1,000 organizations were recently surveyed by the great folks over at The Rocket Company , and one of the questions on the survey was about the organization’s budget.  Out of over 1,000 organizations polled, only 14% exceeded their giving budget.  37% only met their budget while the remaining 49% were consistently below budget.  I don’t know how that makes you feel, but I think that stinks.  The organizations that were in the 14% that consistently exceeded their goals, they all had several things in common.  But the one thing that was the most common among them all was something incredibly simple, and it made the biggest impact.

I’m talking about recurring giving.  This was the single most important factor that enabled them to fund their mission more effectively and ultimately make a bigger difference in their community and around the world.  The good news is that setting up a recurring giving option for your organization is extremely simple!  There are many ways in which to receive recurring gifts, but I’m going to focus on how Txt2Give can provide this to your church or non-profit.
