The platform is donor-supported. After confirming a gift, donors are offered a tip to keep Txt2Give running — 15% by default, but they can choose a custom amount or skip it entirely. Most add it because the prompt is framed around supporting your organization, not us. If a donor says no, the gift still goes through exactly as entered — no impact on the donation experience.

The only cost you pay is the standard Stripe processing fee: 2.3% + $0.30 per transaction for verified nonprofits — one of the lowest rates available.

Your organization receives a unique 10-digit giving number in the area code you provide when you sign up. Toll-free numbers are also available.

To give, donors text GIVE (or a custom keyword) to your number. They confirm the amount, and the gift lands in your account. First-time donors complete a one-time 60-second registration to save their payment info — after that, future gifts are a single text reply.

For online giving, donors use the unique giving link in your dashboard.

Donations are charged to the donor's credit card, debit card, or bank account — not their phone bill. They choose their payment method when they register the first time.

The phone-bill model (carrier billing) has significant limitations: you need 501(c)(3) status with minimum annual revenue, donations are capped at small amounts with monthly limits, and funds can take 60–90 days to reach you. Txt2Give's approach is faster, simpler, and has no donation caps.

Yes. You can add your logo and choose your brand colors so the giving experience feels seamless and on-brand for your donors. A custom giving image — complete with your giving number and instructions — is also included free with every account.

We also have a layered version of the giving image sized for live-streaming and big screens. Additional custom giving images are available upon request.

Yes — online giving is included free with every account. Your organization gets a branded giving page at your own URL so donors can give via desktop or mobile web as well.

We don't currently offer short codes. Here's why:

Major carriers have been blocking shared short codes (the 5–6 digit numbers) due to spam concerns. A shared code means multiple organizations share one number — if any one of them gets flagged for spam, the code goes down for everyone.

Dedicated short codes (one per organization) avoid that problem but cost $1,000+/month — not practical for most churches and nonprofits. Until there's a more cost-effective solution, we provide reliable 10-digit local numbers that don't have those risks.
