Two tools. One goal: get more gifts in the door.
Click a tab to see how each side of the platform works — from a supporter's first text to the reports you'll rely on after.
The Donor-Supported Plan
New Txt2Give accounts run on the Donor-Supported Plan — $0 per month. Instead of billing you a subscription, we give donors the option to add a small tip (roughly 15%) on top of their gift to help cover the cost of the platform.
15% might sound familiar — it's about the low end of what most people already leave as a tip at a restaurant, so it doesn't feel like an unusual ask.
Donors can always decline the tip. Either way, the platform stays free for your organization to run — there's no monthly fee waiting on the other side.
Stripe is required to accept donations
Stripe is the payment processor behind every Txt2Give account — it's what securely handles card transactions and moves donated funds into your bank account. You'll need a free Stripe account to get set up; the setup is self-serve, with a guided flow that walks you through connecting your bank details step by step.
Stripe charges its own processing fee — 2.3% + $0.30 per transaction — separate from anything Txt2Give charges. And on the Donor-Supported Plan, that's usually nothing. Stripe isn't optional because it's the piece that actually moves the money — Txt2Give handles the giving experience, Stripe handles the transaction itself.
A handful of terms show up everywhere in the platform. Once these click, the rest of the product is self-explanatory.
Text Donations
A donor texts a Keyword to your Giving Number and completes the gift right in that conversation. First-time donors get a link to register a payment method; after that, they can give again with just a text — no app, no login.
Giving Number
The one phone number tied to your account that donors text to give. Every Cause and Keyword you set up lives under this same number.
Keywords
GIVE is the default Keyword — it works automatically, no setup needed. You can also create custom Keywords and assign each to a specific Cause, or leave one unassigned so donors get a list of Causes to choose from instead. Custom Keywords are optional, free, and unlimited.
Causes
What the gift actually supports — Tithes & Offerings, Building Fund, Youth Ministry. Every account starts with a General Fund Cause already in place; adding more is optional, free, and unlimited.
Online Giving
A web-based donation form you can embed on your site or share as a link, for donors who'd rather give without texting at all.
Recurring Donations
A donor sets a schedule — weekly, monthly, or another cadence — and the gift repeats automatically until they change or cancel it, by text or through their donor profile.
Every gift, tracked the moment it comes in
Text, online, and recurring donations all land in one dashboard — no reconciling three systems to know what actually came in this week.
See the story behind each gift
Filter by donor, cause, or date range to see exactly who gave, how, and whether it's a one-time or recurring gift — down to the individual transaction.
Year-end reporting, without the spreadsheet marathon
Pick a year, click generate — a full donor-by-donor Excel workbook shows up in your inbox. No manual exports, no formatting.
A personal thank-you, sent to your whole donor list at once
Write one message template using tokens like {'{FIRSTNAME}'} and {'{YEAR}'} — it fills in automatically for each donor. Attach a letter if you'd like, then pick specific donors or hit Select All.
One send, and every donor gets a personalized thank-you email with their own giving statement (PDF or CSV) attached — no exporting, merging, or sending one by one.
Thank you for your generous support in 2026. Here is a summary of your donations…

Optional Settings
Bring in your contacts
Upload a CSV of phone numbers — from an event sign-up, a mailing list, whatever you've got — and it becomes a reusable group.
The more you include — name, email, opt-in date — the stronger your compliance record if a carrier or regulator ever asks how someone ended up on the list.
Two kinds of messages, two jobs
Donation campaigns go out from your existing Txt2Give number — supporters can reply GIVE right in the thread to donate.
Informational campaigns run on a separate number, built for updates, reminders, or a link out — no reply-to-donate, just the message.
Reply STOP to opt out
Only pay for what you send
Messages run on credits — 1 credit per 160-character segment, per recipient. Buy in bulk and the per-credit price drops.
No credits, no send. There's never a surprise bill at the end of the month.
One-time carrier registration, then a small monthly fee
Before any push campaign can send, your number goes through carrier registration (TCR) — a one-time verification step required industry-wide, not something specific to Txt2Give.
It's a one-time $29 setup fee, then a monthly campaign fee based on the type of messaging you're sending. Your first month is 50% off, with a 3-month minimum commitment.
