Donor-Supported has no monthly fee; donors are asked for a tip calculated at 15% of their gift, then 5% if they decline — shown to them as a dollar amount, not a percent — and if they decline both, Txt2Give collects 1% of that specific gift at deposit. Flat Rate is $25/month + 1% on every gift, with no tip prompt ever shown to donors, and starts with a 14-day free trial (a credit card is required to start it). Choose Donor-Supported if you're comfortable asking donors to help cover costs; choose Flat Rate if you'd rather donors never see that ask.

If they decline both, the donation still goes through in full — Txt2Give collects 1% of that gift when it deposits from Stripe. Either way, there's nothing for you to invoice or pay out of pocket.

Every Flat Rate account gets a 14-day trial with full access to every feature. A credit card is required to start the trial, but you won't be charged during it. Your first monthly invoice isn't issued until day 14 — unless your account collects $250 or more in donations before then, in which case billing starts at that point instead. Donor-Supported accounts don't have a trial since there's no monthly fee to trial.

Payments are processed by Stripe at 2.3% + $0.30 per transaction — Stripe's discounted rate for verified nonprofits and churches. This fee is deducted from each donation before it deposits to your bank account, similar to any payment processor, and applies the same way on both plans. It's separate from the Donor-Supported Plan's 1% no-tip fee and the Flat Rate Plan's $25/month + 1%.

Most accounts are live and accepting donations within 10 minutes. You'll create an account, connect your Stripe account (you'll need your EIN, bank account info, and a government-issued ID for Stripe's verification), choose your giving keyword, and you're ready. No. Donors give entirely by text message using their phone's built-in messaging app. There's nothing to download, no account to create, and no login required. First-time donors register their payment info once via a secure link sent by text — after that, every future donation is completed by text alone.

Stripe deposits funds to your bank account within 2 business days for US-based organizations, and within 7 business days for Canadian organizations. Note that your first deposit takes 7 business days regardless of location — this is standard Stripe verification. After that, deposits follow the normal schedule automatically.

No contract, no commitment on either plan. Txt2Give is month-to-month — you can pause, cancel, or switch plans at any time. On Donor-Supported, there's no monthly fee, so there's nothing to cancel in the traditional sense. On Flat Rate, canceling stops future invoices; you're only ever billed for the month(s) your account was active past the trial.

Txt2Give's standard plan covers ongoing giving — Sunday offerings, recurring tithes, designated funds, and campaign appeals. For one-time events with a live fundraising scoreboard and dedicated event support, we offer a separate Events plan starting at $399.
